Living Hope began in March 1997, as a vision of two families-Richie and Elena Lewis and Brian and Kerry Hardie.

The first official service was held on June 15, 1997 at P.B. Ritch Elementary School.  Fourteen adults were present at the first service.

In October of 1997, the church began its Forward By Faith Capital Funds Campaign.  In January of 1999, over 100,000 dollars had been collected toward the purchase of land.  In July, Living Hope purchased 24.04 acres at Hwy. 92 and Williams Lake Road in Paulding County.  In November of 1999, the present property became the official home of Living Hope Baptist Church.

The church continued to grow and prosper at P.B. Ritch.  In June of 2000, church offices were opened at the present location.  In August of 2001, a second modular unit was moved onto the property, and Living Hope moved from P.B. Ritch to its present location.

In April of 2002, the church hired its first Administrative Assistant; and in July of 2003, the church hired its first full-time Worship Leader.

In May of 2004, Living Hope celebrated Groundbreaking for its first permanent, 10,000 square foot, multipurpose building.  A local contractor built the shell and the remainder of the building was finished out by a few very dedicated men of the congregation.

The first worship service was held in the new building on Friend Day, April 17, 2005.  Total attendance for the day was 382. 

In February and April of 2005, two other churches, Crossroads Church and Skyview Church, merged with Living Hope to strengthen the church’s efforts at reaching this region for Christ.  Truly, this was a blessing from God!

Today, Living Hope continues to grow and prosper.  God continues to show His Mighty Hand in many ways.  To Him be the glory and honor!
